Sending Happiness (Paper Craft Crew Challenge PCC326)

It is so good to be back stamping after a few weeks away -- I was in crafting withdrawal!  But I am home now, and my craft room has been turned upside down getting out my valentines to family and friends and catching up on what I missed while I was in the polar freeze in Colorado and New Jersey!

Everytime I take a break from stamping, I need a jump start for my creative "mojo".  After all my cards were delivered, I decided to turn my attention to this week's Paper Craft Crew Challenge (PCC326):

Horizontal sketch featuring stacked squares in the center of the sketch and a background strip along with embellishments in the bottom corner of the squares. This is PCC326 Sketch Challenge

Here is the card I created for this challenge:

My inspiration for this card was the Needle & Thread suite (stamps, DSP and Needlepoint Elements framelits).  I first ran my Daffodil Delight CS through the Big Shot with the largest die to add some interest to the background.  I cut a strip of the DSP to run across the width of the card; added a square of DSP and topped that with a smaller square in Balmy Blue that was embossed with the Tufted TIEF.  The sentiment was stamped in Blueberry Bushel, die cut and adhered to the squares.  The leaf elements were cut and punched and a little butterfly was stamped, colored and punched from Butterfly Gala.  I added Wink of Stella to the wings and a little rhinestone for bling!

Stampin'UP! supplies used in this challenge:
Stamps:  Needle & Thread; Butterfly Gala
Dies:  Needlepoint Elements
Punches: Butterfly Duet; Leaf
Ink:  Blueberry Bushel
Paper:  Daffodil Delight; Balmy Blue; Whisper White; Needlepoint Nook DSP
Accessories:  Rhinestones; Gingham Gala sequins

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Such a pretty card! Great colour combination, and I love how the focal square is the tufted embossing. Thanks for playing along with the Paper Craft Crew challenge!
